Job Summary

The Customs Manager is responsible for managing all customs clearance activities for imported and exported goods, ensuring compliance with Ethiopian customs regulations and international trade laws. The role coordinates with customs authorities, freight forwarders, shipping agents, and internal departments to ensure timely and cost-effective clearance of project materials, equipment, and supplies while minimizing delays and compliance risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for logistics customs clearance business;
• Responsible for preparing and verifying the packing list of goods shipped from abroad to Ethiopia, checking customs clearance documents, and handling import licenses;
• Responsible for duty-free application;
• Responsible for customs clearance declaration;
• Familiar with customs clearance for both sea and air freight;
• Responsible for maintaining relationships with customs authorities and license-issuing agencies;
• Responsible for handling export business to Ethiopia;
• Conduct customs clearance and declaration work in a compliant and efficient manner;
• Other tasks assigned by the company.
