Job Description
Job Purpose :- The Draftsman is responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, plans, and detailed designs based on engineering, architectural, and project specifications. The role ensures that all drawings comply with applicable standards, codes, and project requirements while supporting the planning, execution, and documentation of construction, manufacturing, or engineering projects. The Draftsman is responsible for incorporating design revisions, maintaining organized technical documentation, and preparing, reviewing, and delivering complete and accurate final design documents for approval and project implementation.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Technical Drawing Preparation
- Prepare accurate technical drawings, plans, layouts, and detailed designs based on approved engineering and architectural specifications.
- CAD Drafting
- Develop and modify 2D and 3D drawings using approved CAD software in accordance with company drafting standards.
Design Review
- Review design sketches, specifications, and calculations to ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and feasible.
Drawing Revision and Control
- Update drawings to reflect approved design changes and maintain proper version control of all design documents.
Final Design Documentation
- Prepare, compile, and submit complete final design documents for review, approval, and project implementation.
- Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, technical documents, and project files in accordance with document control procedures.
Other Duties
- Perform any other structural engineering duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
