Job Description

Job Purpose

To operate, monitor, adjust, and maintain the Packer Machine efficiently and safely to achieve the planned production target while ensuring product quality, minimizing downtime, reducing rejects, and complying with GMP, Food Safety, and Safety standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Machine Operation

  • Operate the packer machine according to approved operating procedures.

  • Start up, shut down, and monitor the machine during production.

  • Ensure smooth operation throughout the production shift.

  • Perform product changeovers within the target changeover time.

  • Machine Monitoring.

  • Continuously monitor machine performance and operating parameters.

  • Identify abnormalities and take immediate corrective action.

  • Report major mechanical or electrical faults to the Maintenance Department.

Quality Control

  • Ensure properly packed products meet company quality standards.

  • Remove defective products immediately.

  • Minimize product rejects and packing defects.

  • Verify packaging materials before production.

Production Performance

  • Achieve planned hourly and daily production targets.

  • Minimize machine downtime.

  • Reduce waste and material losses.

  • Support OEE improvement initiatives.

  • Preventive Maintenance

  • Perform daily autonomous maintenance activities.

  • Clean, inspect, lubricate, and tighten machine components where applicable.

  • Complete daily machine inspection checklists.

Safety & GMP

  • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.

  • Maintain good housekeeping (5S).

  • Comply with GMP, food safety, and company policies.

  • Report unsafe conditions immediately.

Documentation

  • Complete all production records accurately.

  • Record downtime, rejects, machine stoppages, and production output.

  • Participate in shift handover.
